How to configure Advanced NAT using Local UI

To configure the Advanced NAT in the RCVx3 device, please follow the steps outlined below. 

1. Open a web browser and enter the URL of the RCVx3 device: 192.168.3.1.

2. If you are logging in for the first time, use the default credentials:

Username: celestial

Password: hellotickiot

 

 

 

 

3. Select Application from the Local Web Page.

 




 


4. After selecting Application, click on Advanced NAT as shown in the picture below to access the Advanced NAT available under Application.






5. In the Advanced NAT Settings, you can configure Application Layer Gateway (ALG) settings to manage specific protocol traffic efficiently. These settings allow enabling or disabling ALG for various protocols to optimize performance and security. The available configurations include:

a. FTP: Enable or Disable support for File Transfer Protocol.

b. SIP: Enable or Disable support for Session Initiation Protocol.

c. H323: Enable or Disable support for H.323 protocol, used for video and audio conferencing.

d. PPTP: Enable or Disable support for Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol.

e. L2TP: Enable or Disable support for Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol.

f. IPSec: Enable or Disable support for Internet Protocol Security.

Example Configuration:

  • FTP: Enable
    This allows FTP traffic to pass through the NAT seamlessly, ensuring proper functioning of file transfer operations.
  • SIP: Disable
    Disabling SIP ALG can help avoid issues with VoIP traffic in certain network setups.

These settings provide users with precise control over how specific protocols interact with the NAT, improving compatibility and network performance.






6. To save the changes made in the Advanced NAT Settings, click on the Save & Apply button.
