How to change settings of WAN connection using local UI
To modify the WAN connection settings, follow these steps:
1. Open a web browser and enter the URL of the RCVx3 device: 192.168.3.1.
2. If you are logging in for the first time, use the default credentials:
Username: celestial
Password: hellotickiot
3. Select the Network option from the local page.
4. In the Network option, locate WAN Settings and click on it to access the WAN Settings configuration.
5. Configurable Options in WAN Settings
Within the WAN Settings, the following configurations can be modified:
Connect Name:
- Options:
- 1_MANAGEMENT_VOICE_INTERNET_R_VID
- New Connection
- Example: Select 1_MANAGEMENT_VOICE_INTERNET_R_VID if you need a management and voice connection.
Service:
- Available options:
- VOICE
- MANAGEMENT
- INTERNET
- MANAGEMENT_INTERNET
- VOICE_INTERNET
- MANAGEMENT_VOICE_INTERNET
- Other
- Example: Choose INTERNET if you are configuring a standalone internet connection.
IP Protocol Version:
WAN IP Mode:
- Available modes:
- Example: Select DHCP for dynamic IP allocation.
MAC Address:
- Enable or disable the MAC Address setting using a toggle switch.
NAT:
- Enable or disable NAT functionality via a toggle switch.
VLAN Mode:
- Toggle VLAN Mode on or off.
VLAN ID:
- Input a value between 1-4094.
- Example: Enter 100 for VLAN 100 configuration.
DNS Mode:
- Options:
- Example: Choose Auto to allow automatic DNS configuration.
Primary DNS: Enter the primary DNS server address.
Example: Input 8.8.8.8 for Google's DNS server.
Secondary DNS: Enter the secondary DNS server address.
Example: Input 8.8.4.4 for Google's secondary DNS server.
DHCP:
- Options include:
- DHCP Renew: Renew the DHCP lease.
- DHCP Vendor (Option 60): Specify the vendor name.
- Example: Set Vendor Name to "MyDeviceVendor" for device-specific DHCP settings.
Port Binding:
- Options:
- Port_1
- Port_2
- Port_3
- Wireless(SSID)
- Wireless(SSID1)
- Wireless(SSID2)
- Wireless(SSID3)
- Example: Enable Port_1 to bind the WAN connection to the first port.
Each of these settings can be configured to suit the network's requirements, ensuring flexibility and compatibility.
5. After entering all the required data to modify the WAN settings, click the Save & Apply button to save the changes. Your WAN connection is now ready to use.
