How to configure FXS1/FXS2 Preference settings using Local UI

To configure the Preference Settings in the RCVx3 device, please follow the steps outlined below.

1. Open a web browser and enter the URL of the RCVx3 device: 192.168.3.1.

2. If you are logging in for the first time, use the default credentials:

Username: celestial

Password: hellotickiot

 

 

3. Select the FXS1 option from the local page.

 

 

 

 

 


 

4. In the FXS1/FXS2 settings, select Preference to access the Preference configuration options.









5. In the Preference settings of the RCVx3 device, users can customize various parameters to enhance functionality and optimize device performance. Below are the key configurable settings, with examples to provide clarity:

a. Volume Settings:

    • Handset Input Gain: Adjust the input gain for the handset.
      Example: Set 5 for balanced audio input.
    • Handset Volume: Configure the handset volume level.
      Example: Set 5 for optimal call clarity.
    • DTMF Volume: Set the DTMF tone volume between 0 and -45 dB.
      Example: Enter -19 for moderate tone loudness.

b. Regional Settings:

    • Tone Type: Select the region-specific tone profile.
      Example: Choose USA for U.S. tone standards.
    • Ringing Cadence: Configure the ringing pattern.
      Example: Adjust for local requirements.
    • Min Jitter Delay and Max Jitter Delay: Set jitter buffer limits to ensure stable audio.
      Example: Use 60 ms as the minimum and 240 ms as the maximum.

c. Features:

    • All Forward, Busy Forward, and No Answer Forward: Configure call forwarding options.
      Example: Enable Busy Forward to redirect calls when the line is busy.
    • Transfer On-hook: Allow call transfer by hanging up.
      Example: Set Enable to activate this feature.

d. Feature Code:

    • Configure custom feature codes for call management.
      Example: Set Hold Key Code to *77 and Transfer Key Code to *98.
    • Enable Call Features: Activate advanced call features.
      Example: Set to Enable for access to all call functionalities.

e. CPC Control:

    • CPC Enable: Enable or disable Calling Party Control.
      Example: Set Disable to deactivate this feature.

f. FXS Port Polarity Configuration:

    • Configure polarity settings for idle and call states.
      Example: Set Idle Polarity to Forward for standard operation.

g. Miscellaneous Settings:

    • Loop Current: Adjust the loop current for connected devices.
      Example: Set 26 mA for compatibility with most analog phones.
    • CID Service: Enable or disable Caller ID service.
      Example: Set Enable to display Caller ID information during calls.
    • Dial Timeout: Set the maximum time to wait for input during dialing.
      Example: Enter 5 seconds for prompt call initiation.

These settings provide extensive customization options, ensuring the RCVx3 device meets specific operational needs in diverse environments.







6. After entering all the required details in the Preference settings, click on the Save button to save the changes.
