How to configure WAN (Static IP) in local UI

To configure a WAN (static IP), please follow the steps below.

1.     Open a web browser and enter the URL 192.168.4.1 to access the login page of the RC500 router.

2.     If you are logging in for the first time, use the default credentials:

o    Username: celestial

o    Password: hellotickiot

 3. Select the Network option to access the available network settings.

4. In the Network section, navigate to WAN to seamlessly access and configure your WAN settings.

5. Within the WAN settings, you will find two options: WAN and LAN to WAN. Please select WAN from these options.

6. On the WAN settings page, there is a switch to Enable or Disable the interface. If it is currently Disabled, click the switch to Enable
 it.

7. After enabling the Interface, an option to choose the Connection Type will appear. Click on it and select your desired connection, such as Static IP.

8. After selecting Static IP from the Connection Type, you will need to enter the following details:

  • IP Address: Enter the device’s unique IP address (e.g., 192.168.4.1), which allows it to communicate on the network.
  • Subnet Mask: Input the subnet mask (e.g., 225.225.225.0) to define the network’s size and scope.
  • Gateway: Specify the IP address of your network gateway, which serves as the access point to other networks.
  • Primary DNS Server: Enter the primary DNS server address (e.g., 8.8.8.8) to resolve domain names into IP addresses.
  • Secondary DNS Server: Provide the secondary DNS server address (e.g., 1.1.1.1) as a backup for domain name resolution.
  • MTU: The Maximum Transmission Unit size is set to Default 1500, which defines the largest packet size that can be transmitted.

9. After entering all the necessary details to change the WAN connection to Static IP, click on Submit. Once the Submit
button is clicked, your router will reboot, which may take a few minutes. After the reboot, your changes will be updated successfully.
