How to make changes in IPv6 LAN settings using Local UI
To configure LAN settings in local web page
please follow the steps below:
1. Open a web browser and enter the URL of
the RCVx3 device: 192.168.3.1.
2. If you are logging in for the first time, use the
default credentials:
Username: celestial
Password: hellotickiot
3. Select the Network option
from the local page.
4. In the Network option,
locate IPv6 LAN Settings and click on it to access the IPv6
LAN Settings configuration.
5. In the IPv6 LAN Settings of the RCVx3
device, users can configure and modify the following options for enhanced IPv6
functionality:
- IPv6
Address: Specify the IPv6 address for the LAN
interface.
- For
example, set it to 2001:db8::1.
- IPv6
Prefix Length: Define the prefix length for the
IPv6 address, with a range of 0–128.
- For
example, use a prefix length of 64 for a standard subnet
configuration.
- DHCPv6
Server: Configure the DHCPv6 server settings
to assign IPv6 addresses to devices automatically.
- DHCPv6
Status Switch: Toggle the Enable/Disable
switch to activate or deactivate the DHCPv6 server.
- DHCPv6
Mode: Choose between Stateless and Stateful
modes for address configuration.
- For
example, select Stateless for automatic address assignment without
tracking, or Stateful for managing address allocation and
connection state.
- Domain
Name: Assign a domain name for the LAN network.
- For
example, example.local.
- Server
Preference: Set the DHCPv6 server preference,
within a range of 0–255.
- For
example, a value of 200 can indicate high preference for the
server.
- Primary
DNS Server: Specify the primary DNS server
address for name resolution.
- For
example, 2001:4860:4860::8888.
- Secondary
DNS Server: Optionally, define a secondary DNS
server for backup.
- For
example, 2001:4860:4860::8844.
- Lease
Time: Set the lease duration for client devices,
within a range of 0–86400 seconds.
- For
example, a value of 3600 seconds provides a 1-hour lease time.
- IPv6
Address Pool: Define the range of IPv6 addresses
available for DHCP allocation.
- For
example, 2001:db8::100 to 2001:db8::1ff.
- Router
Advertisement Switch: Enable or disable router
advertisements with the Enable/Disable switch.
- Advertise
Interval: Set the interval for sending router
advertisements, within a range of 10–1800 seconds.
- For
example, an interval of 300 seconds sends advertisements every 5
minutes.
- RA
Managed Flag Switch: Toggle the Enable/Disable
switch to indicate if addresses are managed via DHCPv6.
- RA
Other Flag Switch: Toggle the Enable/Disable
switch to indicate if additional information (like DNS) is provided via
DHCPv6.
- Prefix:
Define the IPv6 prefix for the LAN network.
- For
example, 2001:db8::/64.
- Prefix
Lifetime: Set the valid lifetime for the
prefix, within a range of 0–3600 seconds.
- For
example, 1800 seconds specifies a 30-minute lifetime.

6. After configuring these settings, click the Save
& Apply button to secure your changes and activate the updated IPv6 LAN
configuration.
