3. Select the Network option from the local page.

4. In the Network option, locate IPv6 LAN Settings and click on it to access the IPv6 LAN Settings configuration.

5. In the IPv6 LAN Settings of the RCVx3 device, users can configure and modify the following options for enhanced IPv6 functionality:

  • IPv6 Address: Specify the IPv6 address for the LAN interface.
    • For example, set it to 2001:db8::1.
  • IPv6 Prefix Length: Define the prefix length for the IPv6 address, with a range of 0–128.
    • For example, use a prefix length of 64 for a standard subnet configuration.
  • DHCPv6 Server: Configure the DHCPv6 server settings to assign IPv6 addresses to devices automatically.
  • DHCPv6 Status Switch: Toggle the Enable/Disable switch to activate or deactivate the DHCPv6 server.
  • DHCPv6 Mode: Choose between Stateless and Stateful modes for address configuration.
    • For example, select Stateless for automatic address assignment without tracking, or Stateful for managing address allocation and connection state.
  • Domain Name: Assign a domain name for the LAN network.
    • For example, example.local.
  • Server Preference: Set the DHCPv6 server preference, within a range of 0–255.
    • For example, a value of 200 can indicate high preference for the server.
  • Primary DNS Server: Specify the primary DNS server address for name resolution.
    • For example, 2001:4860:4860::8888.
  • Secondary DNS Server: Optionally, define a secondary DNS server for backup.
    • For example, 2001:4860:4860::8844.
  • Lease Time: Set the lease duration for client devices, within a range of 0–86400 seconds.
    • For example, a value of 3600 seconds provides a 1-hour lease time.
  • IPv6 Address Pool: Define the range of IPv6 addresses available for DHCP allocation.
    • For example, 2001:db8::100 to 2001:db8::1ff.
  • Router Advertisement Switch: Enable or disable router advertisements with the Enable/Disable switch.
  • Advertise Interval: Set the interval for sending router advertisements, within a range of 10–1800 seconds.
    • For example, an interval of 300 seconds sends advertisements every 5 minutes.
  • RA Managed Flag Switch: Toggle the Enable/Disable switch to indicate if addresses are managed via DHCPv6.
  • RA Other Flag Switch: Toggle the Enable/Disable switch to indicate if additional information (like DNS) is provided via DHCPv6.
  • Prefix: Define the IPv6 prefix for the LAN network.
    • For example, 2001:db8::/64.
  • Prefix Lifetime: Set the valid lifetime for the prefix, within a range of 0–3600 seconds.
    • For example, 1800 seconds specifies a 30-minute lifetime.
