Standard Package Contents
Installing the SIM Card
The RC500 supports mini-SIM (2FF) size cards. For smaller SIM cards like nano-SIM, use a 2FF SIM card adapter to fit the router's slot.
1. Hold the SIM card with the gold contacts facing down and the cut side on the left.
2. Insert the SIM card into the slot until you hear a click.
Note: Handle the SIM card carefully. Avoid bending or scratching it and protect it from static electricity, water, and dirt.
Powering the Device
1. Connect the Power Adapter : Insert the power adapter into the power port located on the back of the RC500 router.
2. Plug into a Power Outlet : Connect the other end of the adapter to a power outlet.
4. Power On : Once the device is powered on, the power LED will illuminate, indicating that the router is ready for use.
Logging into the Device
Local Login
1. Connect your PC to the router’s LAN port using an Ethernet cable.
2. Open a web browser and enter http://192.168.4.1 in the URL field.
3. Enter the default login information:
o Username: celestial
o Password: hellotickiot
4. After logging in, change the default password for security purposes.
APN Configuration
To set up APN settings for cellular network connectivity:
1. Log in to the device as described in the Local Login section.
2. Go
to the Network tab.
3. Go to Cellular section from the left panel
5. Select carrier and now manually enter the APN
6. Click Save to apply the changes.
Software Update
To ensure your RC500 5G router runs the latest firmware:
1. Log in to the device (refer to Local Login instructions).
2. Navigate to the Administration tab.
3. Click on Firmware Upgrade.
4. Click Browse to select the firmware file (must have a .bin extension).
5. Click Upgrade to begin the update. This process may take 3-5 minutes, and the device will automatically reboot afterwards.
6. After rebooting, log back in and confirm the firmware version under Status > Product Information.
Recommendation: Perform a factory reset after a firmware update for.
Factory Reset
To restore the RC500 to its factory settings:
1. While the router is powered on, press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds, then release it.
2. All LED lights will blink once, and the router will reboot, resetting all configurations to factory defaults.
