Firmware Upgrade in RCVx3 Router using Local UI

The Firmware Upgrade feature for the RCVx3 device allows administrators to update the device's firmware to the latest version, ensuring access to new features, security patches, and performance improvements. This process is simple and secure, requiring the upload of the firmware file provided by the manufacturer. By keeping the firmware up to date, users can maintain optimal device functionality, address potential vulnerabilities, and benefit from enhanced stability and compatibility with evolving network requirements.

 

To configure the Firmware Upgrade in the RCVx3 device, please follow the steps outlined below.

 

1. Open a web browser and enter the URL of the RCVx3 device: 192.168.3.1.

2. If you are logging in for the first time, use the default credentials:

Username: celestial

Password: hellotickiot

 


 

3. Select Administration from the Local Web Page.

 

 

 



4. In the Administration section, select the Firmware Upgrade option to access the Firmware Upgrade.




5. In the Firmware Upgrade settings, you can update the RCVx3 device firmware using the Local Upgrade option. This feature allows you to upload a firmware file directly from your local system to upgrade the device.

Example:

  • Local Upgrade: Click on Choose file, select the firmware file provided by the manufacturer, and proceed with the upgrade process to install the latest firmware version.

This ensures the device remains updated with the latest features, performance enhancements, and security improvements.

 

 

 

 

6. After uploading the latest firmware, click on the Upgrade button to apply the latest firmware update.
